Bay Leaf Tea

Not the bay leaf in your grocery store. This is Pimenta racemosa Caribbean bay leaves wild-harvested from the misty hills above Fond St. Jacques, Saint Lucia.

Our bay leaves are intensely aromatic with warm, clove-like notes. They’ve been used for generations in Lucian kitchens to flavor soups, stews, and rice. But their purpose runs deeper.

My grandmother used to burn bay leaves just like people burn sage.

She would light a dried leaf and let the smoke fill the room to drive away bad spirits, to reveal those fighting you spiritually, to cleanse the home after an argument or before important visitors arrived. The elders knew: bay smoke clears more than just the air.

Today, we still harvest the same trees she gathered from. Hand-picked at dawn. Slow air-dried in shade to preserve the essential oils and spiritual potency. Whether you brew them for tea, add them to your cooking, or burn them for cleansing, these leaves carry generations of Lucian wisdom.

Available in whole leaf only (we don’t offer bay tea bags the leaves are too large and aromatic to bag properly).
